RECORD PRODUCER & SONGWRITER
GRAMMY and OSCAR-winning musician Dernst Emile II, better known as D’Mile, showcased his musical prowess from an early age. By six years old, he was already performing complex pieces from Hanon: The Virtuoso Pianist in Sixty Exercises. His early mastery of classical piano laid the foundation for his proficiency on a wide range of instruments, including the acoustic, bass, and electric guitars, as well as drums. His father, Dernst Emile, a respected musician and music teacher, instilled in him a deep understanding of musical structure, harmony, and arrangement—skills that continue to inform his approach to both playing and composing.
D’Mile’s refined skill set became evident in his work on several tracks for Mali Music’s Mali Is …, an album that earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album. His contributions to songs like “Fight For You,” “Heavy Love,” and “Royalty” infused traditional gospel themes with contemporary flair. This work further cemented D’Mile’s place in the music world, adding to his diverse discography that includes a collaboration with GRAMMY-winning Full Force on Rihanna’s debut album, Music of the Sun.
Throughout his career, D’Mile has collaborated with an impressive roster of GRAMMY-winning artists, including Brandy, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Toni Braxton, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, and Rick Ross. In addition to his work with established stars, he has also contributed to the careers of emerging talents like Ty Dolla $ign, Nico & Vinz, and Eric Bellinger, continuing to shape the sound of modern music across genres.
